Celebrate Dad and the US Open with Deals and Contests at the Oaks Course
This weekend marks the beginning of the 117th US Open Championship, hosted this year at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin. This iconic golf championship, organized by the USGA, got its start in 1895 at the Newport Country Club in Newport, Rhode Island. And if there’s one thing that 117 years of competition in this championship has shown us, it’s that this is no ordinary tournament. The US Open puts golf masters to the test by upping the “anti” on difficulty, and putting a large emphasis on accurate driving ability.
To commemorate the US Open in our own fashion, we’ve put together some special deals and contests, including a weekend putting contest that tests your putting skills. When you come by the Oaks Course to play a round from June 15th through June 18th, try your luck in our 60-foot putt contest. The player who putts their ball closest to the hole during this weekend competition will receive a one month membership to the Oaks completely FREE! And it’s no coincidence that the US Open always falls during the weekend of Father’s Day. Treat Dad to a special golf outing on Sunday, June 18th. And if he happens to be a putting master, he may win the 60-foot putt!
These aren’t the only great deals we’re rolling out this week. Did you know we’ve declared the rest of June at the Oaks Course to be Walking Month? This means that all walking rounds pay a special flat rate of $30, with UNLIMITED holes for the entire day! We also have our Players Assistants coming around to offer all players a cold bottled water and a refreshing ice towel to keep you cool in the hot, summer sun.
This weekend is a great excuse to get outside with Dad and enjoy the fresh air, and maybe a little exercise. Celebrate Dad and the historic and iconic US Open Championship with us, and take advantage of our special deals and contests. Call the Oaks Pro Shop to reserve your $30 walking round, or book a regular tee time with ease on our website!
