Karens Corner- Fun Fall Childrens Activity

Decorated Golf BallsThe hot days of summer are rolling out and we are starting to see the beginning of autumn days. As autumn appears it becomes harder to find activities to keep kids entertained. While they can no longer splash around in a pool, one thing they can still enjoy is the golf course. In fact, we have a fun activity that will not only get kids creative side but it will also help them stay active!

I remember one of my favorite things from when I would go mini-golfing was picking out a colored golf ball to use. I loved getting to use a special colored ball over the plain white one. I know my brother thought this way too!

So next time before you and your children visit the course try this idea. Kate from Laughing Kids Learns suggests letting kids decorate a plain white golf ball. She says any kid at any age can learn something from this activity.

This activity is super simple to set up. All you need is permanent markers and some golf balls! Plus I suggest a cardboard box so that you can keep any messes contained.

Let your kids doodle all over their golf balls. They can go crazy with stripes, dots, or zigzags!

Then you can bring these beautiful new creations to The Oaks Course. Your kids will love being able to tee off with a ball they created.

If you’re looking for a fun weekend activity with your kids, we suggest trying this one! Then when you visit The Oaks, come show us your creations in Putters! We would love to share photos of the wonderful creations your children made.
