Karens Corner- Thankful Tree at The Oaks

Oaks Thankful TreeBetween the hustle and bustle of getting ready for the holidays, we can often forget the real reason behind Thanksgiving. The pilgrims, who wanted to thank the Native Americans who helped them to have a successful harvest, started the unique holiday. However, lately it helps us make sure we all remember what we are grateful for this year.

While Thanksgiving is known for its amazing food, the best thing that came out of this tradition was the feeling of being thankful. Before eating their delicious Thanksgiving dinner, many families have a tradition of writing down, or saying, what they are thankful for from this year. This is what started the tradition of Thankful Trees.

We love Thanksgiving and all of its traditions here at The Oaks Course. That’s why we have decided to set up our own Thankful Tree. When you visit The Oaks Course, we will have little tags and string laid out. On these tags, you can write whatever you are thankful for this year. Then after you have written it, you can hang it on our Thankful Tree!

We are planning to keep the Thankful Tree up until the end of November. So, even if you are unable to make it in before Thanksgiving, make sure you still stop on by and still get your tag up. We know we have already written why we are thankful this year and we cannot wait to see the other tags that tell us why others are thankful this year!
