Who Will Win the 2015 Masters Tournament?

The much-anticipated Masters Tournament will take place in Augusta next week. With such a prestigious reputation, it is no shock that many golf fans are interested in which professional golfers have the best chance of taking home the most famous trophy in the world of professional golf.

The Masters Tournament started in 1934. It was in the inaugural Masters Tournament that Horton Smith took home the trophy and was named the first ever winner of the Masters. Not only is winning the Masters prestigious, it also guarantees the winner to play in three other major tournaments: the U.S. open, the Open Championship, and the PGA Championship. All of these championships take place after the Masters.

In 2014 one of America’s favorite golfers, Bubba Watson, took home the Masters trophy. Watson’s total score was 280, meaning that he shot 8 under par during the final tournament. The final tournament of the Masters is played on Sunday during the tournament. Watson took home two Masters titles in just three years. It was in 2014 that Watson fought to the finish against Jordan Spieth in order to take home the title.
